CANON
1. Shock! An unexpected turn of events!
On that fateful day, when Haruna and Yuuto were waiting to hear from their parents, some people came to their house, looking absolutely upset. Suddenly they were being surrounded by adults, and people were saying things like "they left such young children behind" and "what are we going to do with them now?" Well it turns out, their parents had died in a plane crash, when Kidou was only six and Haruna was five. The only thing that they had to remember their parents by was an old soccer magazine. And it's thanks to that soccer magazine that Kidou picked up soccer, he felt like it was the only connection he had with his biological father left. Whenever he kicks the ball, he feels like he's kicking it with his father.
2. The last goodbye.
Two years later, a man named Kageyama approached Kidou when Kidou had just finished winning a small soccer game. He told Kidou that he had a friend who would want to adopt him, Mister Kidou, CEO of the Kidou Financial Group. Now, of course Kidou wouldn't want to be adopted without his sister, so Kageyama made a promise. "If you were to be adopted by Mister Kidou, I would become your soccer coach. If you won the three years of the local Junior high soccer tournament, Mister Kidou will adopt your sister." Of course, how could Kidou pass up a deal ilke that? Winning three soccer competitions? Easy. He'd be able to do that, for his sister. So, the adoption papers were signed, and that was the last time he saw or talked to his sister for a very long time.
3. Is this really the same Yuuto?!
For six long years of his life, he had this mindset. After all, if he won, he could live with his sister again. He had to win, at all costs. Not talking to his sister during those six years helped with his ambition, too. It drove him to almost completely forgetting what a sweet kid he used to be... he was like a younger Kageyama, basically.
Though things started changing when he met Raimon's small soccer team. They were an interesting bunch... showing off all this "teamwork" and "friendship". Originally, they had challenged Raimon's team to a match to scope out Raimon's striker, Gouenji Shuuya. But Kidou found himself interested in their dorky goalkeeper, Endou Mamoru. Just what was with that kid? He sure was an idiot... It was at that time when the cold shell that had formed on his heart started to slowly melt.
4. The final straw, Kidou's decision!
It was pretty devastating, to say in the least, to find out that his mentor was that kind of person.
A few days later, and the semi-finals of the Football Frontier was here! It was Raimon up against Teikoku, Kageyama had one last trick up his sleeve to guarantee victory for his team, and Kidou knew it. He spent the whole time before the matching checking every inch, every corner of the school and field, to try to figure out what Kageyama had done. While he was checking the field, to his surprise, his sister approached him. She had been one of the managers for Raimon's team, and she couldn't believe that her brother was the same boy who was destroying schools and beating teams up. She told him that he had changed, that he wasn't her brother anymore, and that was one of the most painful things to happen to him. He didn't talk to her all that time, he fought all those games for her, and she had no idea.
But that wasn't the time to feel sorry for himself, there were lives on the line. He actually spent so much time looking and searching that he was almost late for his own match. Luckily, he was able to figure it out and tell Endou about it. Once the whistle was blown, steel bars fell from the ceiling on Raimon's side, and it surely would have injured or even killed some of the players if it weren't for Kidou. You see, he told Endou to have everyone move away from the center once the whistle was blown and because they did, lives were saved. There wasn't time for celebrating though, because Kidou had to go confront Kageyama. What a sick man... he couldn't believe he was following him... after that, he and his team completely cut ties off of Kageyama, and Kageyama was arrested for tampering with the stadium in an attempt at injury/murder. Though, Kageyama somehow escaped.
On the plus side after the match Haruna found out that her brother was still the same and they hugged and she also found out about how he was doing all that so they could live together! Though she had actually been adopted by then by the Otonashis, and she told Kidou that she couldn't move away from them, they were family to her now. They continued to be kawaii siblings again though.
5. Zeus! What kind of team are they?
With some convincing from Gouenji, Kidou joined Raimon from that day on. With the addition of Kidou, Raimon won every match they had from that point on and they finally reached the finals with Zeus. Zeus, which, as they found out, was a team led by none other then Kageyama Reiji, Kidou's former coach and mentor. The reason why Zeus was so overwhelmingly strong? Kageyama had made them a special drink, a drink infused with chemicals that made the body stronger. You could say that those teenagers were on super crazy steroids. It was a tough battle, but Raimon won in the end. Kidou couldn't wait to get back to tell his team that they won, but something else had come up. Aliens.
That's right, aliens. Or really, kids who were influenced mentally and physically by a powerful meteorite. The strength difference between them and Raimon was immense, and Raimon had to go around Japan to find strong players for them to be able to fight the aliens, and just as they were finally able to start winning, things took a terrible turn.
6. Devastation! What happened to Teikoku?!
Now standing at the dock, a giant submarine appears out of the water. And of course, the man who greets everyone is none other then Kageyama. He has a small chat with Kidou, telling him things like "if you were still following me you'd be able to appreciate my plans" and eventually informing him that his teammates were, in fact, in his new team. Enraged and suspicious, Kidou ran head first on board to confront his former teammates.
Once on board, he meets up with Sakuma and Genda, both of which seem very hostile and not like themselves. They tell Kidou that he abandoned them, he left them for Raimon and won against Zeus not for the team, but for himself. They wanted to follow him, to finally be able to taste victory like him, to be strong. Fudou lent them the power to be strong. That's right, the meteorite that had made the aliens so powerful were also in the hands of Kidou's two friends, and mere words weren't going to snap them out of their power crazy minds. Kidou challenged them to a soccer match, with the intention of winning and showing them what true soccer was.
But tell me, how do you win a match when you aren't allowed to shoot a goal?
It seems that Kageyama had more tricks up his sleeves then they thought. There are two techniques, Koutei Penguin number one, and Beast Fang, that are forbidden. They put immense stress and pain on the users body, and they break you from the inside out. As it turns out, Sakuma and Genda were both told to use these techniques in the match, so not only did they have to stop Sakuma from shooting, but they couldn't shoot towards the goal either. However, despite their efforts, Sakuma ended up using Koutei Penguin no. 1 three times, and by the third time, his body had taken so much pressure that Sakuma could move no longer. Luckily, Genda used Beast Fang only once so he wasn't as harmed as Sakuma, but they were both shipped off to the hospital after the match, and mister Fudou was abandoned by Kageyama, because his team couldn't really do anything more then beat themselves up.
After that match, Kidou couldn't forgive himself for forgetting about his friends, and it's still something that haunts him today...
7. A big choice, Teikoku or Raimon?
They were greeted with all of Kidou's former teammates. Genda's wounds were completely healed, and Sakuma was on crutches but he was able to be there with them. That's when the tough training begain. Kidou, Endou, and Domon all set out and practiced and practiced to get this technique right, but for some reason, it wasn't working. After a small chat with Sakuma, he realized the problem; He was trying to preform this technique underneath Teikoku's expectations, not Raimon's. He realized, thanks to Sakuma, that when he was with Raimon, he could play to his full potential so he didn't have to limit his strength anymore. And with smiles on his previous team's faces, he was finally able to make a choice. He would stick with Raimon, so he could go all out with his plays.
With the struggle in his heart over which team to stick with settled, he, Endou, and Domon were finally able to preform Death Zone and it proved to be a strong asset in their fight, and the team was finally able to win their last match against the aliens.
8. It's finally here, Inazuma Japan!
Well, their questions are answered; They've all been gathered there for a match. There was a competition coming up, the Football Frontier International, and they were going to have a match with the 22 boys to see who made it to Japan's representative team. They're split into two teams, Inazuma Japan A led by Endou, and Inazuma Japan B led by Kidou. With his best friend leading the enemy team and his greatest rival, Fudou, on his team, Kidou had a hell of a time. In the end, Endou's team had won and 16 of the 22 boys were chosen. Luckily, Kidou had made the cut but unfortunately, so had Fudou. Just why was this guy chosen?
9. Fudou Akio, friend or enemy?
Using a tactic based purely off of pressure, Fire Dragon start picking people off Raimon's team one by one. First was Fubuki and Tsunami, two of Raimon's defenders. Using their strongest tactic, they were able to get Tsunami and Fubuki to collide and injure themselves, and since it was with each other, it didn't count as a foul. The technique, you see, had 3 or more players surround one player, running in a perfect circle around them and cutting them off the team. If someone else was close, then 4 or more players do the same to the player on the outside, creating a large barrier around the smaller one. Slowly, they get closer and close to the two players, causing more and more pressure which make it hard for the players to think and the ball is soon easily snatched from them. Though, there was one flaw, and Kidou picked up on it. It was on the ground, so the way to get around it was to pass the ball upward towards another player on the outside and then pass it to other players using the air. He created a tactic called "Route of Sky" to get pass Fire Dragon's technique.
Now that he had found a way to beat those tactics, Kidou was confident and ready to help his team win further, and that had Chae Chan-Soo a bit worried. Soon enough, one of Fire Dragon's members accidentally cause Hijikata, one of Raimon's more bulky and muscular defenders, to trip and he ends up falling on top of Kidou who, let's face it, is kind of a twig. Thanks to that little accident, Kidou is put on bench because of a swollen knee and Fudou is put in. This is where the game really begins.
Fudou Akio plays without telling others his reasoning. For the first little while, he simply took the ball and tried getting past the enemies and shooting all by himself, which only pissed the players off. He even used the other player's bodies to pass the ball to himself, by kicking it at them and having it bounce back to him. Everyone was disgusted with that kind of playing, and no one trusted him. When he was finally passing the ball, the players didn't have the motivation to catch up to the fast passes so the ball would just go out of lines. The team was in shambles thanks to this, they thought for sure they were going to lose. That is, until Endou stepped up. He told the team to trust Fudou, to accept his passes and accept him as a teammate. However, even though they wanted to, they just couldn't keep up. But, Kidou stepped up and went on the field. Once the ball was passed to him, he ran at full speed to catch up to it and passed it back, stating that Fudou could pass it back faster and harder. This whole time everyone thought Fudou was trying to make them lose, when really, he was trying to figure out how to make the best passes that would pull out everyone's full potential. By the time the match had ended, Inazuma Japan won and Fudou was finally accepted as a teammate. (GrosS)
10. Time to leave, to Liocott island!
Now that they had won the right to represent Asia in the International tournament, it was time to set off to Liocott island where the real tournament was beginning! They were up against a lot of teams, England, Italy, America, Argentina, Brazil... and a lot more! They even got to fly a jet to Liocott island uwahhhh so cool!! It was like a soccer paradise...
11. K-Kageyama?! (Part one)
After a little while, the two end up mostly unsuccessful. The most they had was a location to where the man was, so they decided to take a small trip. Surprisingly, or maybe not surprisingly, Fudou was already on the same bus, headed to the same place as them. He was going to meet with Kageyama, they both thought. There was some really bad tension in the air as the bus doors began to close but just before they did, Endou stepped onto the bus. He had went out to look for Sakuma and Kidou, and saw them get on so he followed. Well, now all four of them were in for a wild ride.
Their destination? Italy's part of Liocott.
Once they arrived, they found Fideo, Italy's team's captain, about to be crushed by falling wood. Quickly, Kidou took one of Fideo's team member's soccer ball and kicked it towards the board of wood that was about to smack right into Fideo, and knocked it away. As they talked with Fideo's group, they found out that accidents like the one that had just occurred had been happening to his team all day. He was out 7 members, and they needed at least 4 more before tomorrow. Why? Because they were going to have a match against a mysterious team that took their field earlier to decide who got to represent Italy for the rest of the competition. With Fudou, Endou, Sakuma, and Kidou there at the time, Endou thought that would be perfect! They needed 4 more members, why don't he and the other three join? However, Fudou, Sakuma, and Kidou all disagreed; They all came to look for Kageyama, after all. They didn't have time to play in a match.
So, with that being said, the 4 set off. Sakuma decides to follow Fudou, in case Fudou was trying to lead Kidou to Kageyama, Kidou decides to go the opposite direction, and Endou goes some other way. Of course, the one who runs into Kageyama happens to be Kidou. Though he doesn't meet Kageyama face to face. Kageyama's inside of a building, leaning agains the door while talking to Kidou, who's leaning against it on the other side. Kidou asks Kageyama billion of questions and of course, none of them get answered. Though, Kageyama says he'd answer one, to reward Kidou getting that far. "What is your true goal?" That is the question asks which gets a reply: "Revenge. I am going to destroy Japan's representative team." And Kageyama leaves. Kidou, completely unsatisfied, barges through the building but can't seem to find Kageeyama anywhere; The only thing ahead of him is another open door. He quickly flings himself out of the other door and is greeted with huge boards of heavy wood falling on top of him. Luckily, it was set so if he didn't move, he wouldn't have gotten hurt. And even more luckily, Kidou figured that out in time. Endou and Sakuma and Fideo happen to find Kidou just as that happens, and Kidou tells them it was a warning from Kageyama, to tell him that Kageyama can get rid of him at any moment. He then turns to Fideo, and tells him that they'd be joining Fideo's team after all. He was almost certain that the coach who had taken over Fideo's team was Kageyama, and he needed to find out.
(Part two) The day of the match!
Demonio proved to be more like Kidou then the others thought. He dribbled like Kidou, and strategized like Kidou, so naturally, Kidou was placed in charge of the teams formation and strategies. One thing that threw everyone off though, was that Demonio cuold preform the previously mentioned Koutei Penguin No. One perfectly... without any of the terrible side effects. Though it's revealed that it wasn't the same technique, this one was called Koutei Penguin X and it was the completed form of No. One. It was more powerful, and hard to block, another way Demonio was better then Kidou.
For the first bit, Orpheus was doing... okay, with Kidou in charge. Though during the match, Kidou found himself having.... problems. (Through means of telepathy or something..) Kageyama was able to get to him, to start to convince Kidou to come back to him. Maybe the reason why he kept running into Kageyama was because he was meant to stay as his creation, he thought. Maybe he was supposed to go back to him... Kageyama gave Kidou his whole existence, he couldn't really just walk away from that.. could he?
Surprisingly, the one who snaps him out of it was Fudou, the boy whom everyone thought was on Kageyama's side. He revealed that he was trying to put a stop to Kageyama's plans by himself, but they all kept following him in the end... but with his small plan revealed, Sakuma and Kidou felt like they could trust him again. They start up the match again, and things start working out with Kidou back to himself again. Though.... something odd was happening to Demonio. His vision was starting to dissipate, and they found out that was because Kageyama had to inject Demonio with a program to ensure he was better then Kidou (pretty sad right), and said program had been rejected. Because of the rejection, Demonio started having a hard time seeing and playing, but he kept trying.
Later on in the match, Sakuma Kidou and Fudou work together to make a new hissatsu, Koutei Penguin No. 3 and get the final goal, putting Kageyama in his place and they help Demonio realize that he didn't need to be the ultimate creation, he just needed to be Demonio.
With the help from Kidou and the rest, Orpheus won the right to be Italy's representatives; But there was a cost. Kageyama turned on a T.V that showed a match that was about to happen in an hour, a match of Argentina vs Inazuma Japan. Wait, wasn't that match supposed to happen tomorrow?!
12. Raimon finally loses!
And as a matter of fact the team went through two more captains during the match but they ended up loosing... it was a good match though!
13. VS Italy. What are Kageyama's true intentions??
Fideo taught Kageyama that he really loved soccer, he really loved his father's plays and this whole time, he kept building teams in hopes to find a team that could pull off such magnificent plays like his father. Realizing this, the darkness that surrounded Kageyama's heart disappeared, and he was able to enjoy soccer again for the first time in years.
A little later, during the match, it was also revealed that a while before, Kageyama had involved a young little blind girl in one of his traps. He injured an innocent bystander, and the guilt from it had him paying for all of her hospital bills. He sent her letters, visited her, gave her presents, and even paid for a surgery that fixed her eyesight completely. And she was actually brought to the stadium for the match with Italy and Japan because she wanted to see Kageyama's soccer. Kageyama was upset that she was brought there though, because he was going to turn himself into the police after the match, and he didn't want her to be around to see it happen.
Once the match had ended, it ended with a tie. Kidou had seen Kageyama's change of heart, and what he did for Rushe, and he immediately forgave Kageyama. After all, Kageyama was still his mentor, and in a way, he was a father to Kidou. Knowing that Kageyama was no longer evil lifted a huge weight off Kidou's heart, and he was incredibly happy that he had changed. He even showed sadness when the police came to take Kageyama away, like even though Kageyama had tried to hurt him and his teammates, he didn't want him to be taken to jail...
14. The end for Kageyama Reiji.
It's also shown later on that Kageyama had a wrapped gift for Rushe, to celebrate her surgery succeeding. He gave it to a local detective to give to Rushe before he set off to jail, because he knew he was going to die. What was in that blue wrapping covered in bears and stars, you ask? It was a beautiful music box with a letter inside, telling Rushe to pay close attention to soccer and love it like he did. (Kidou was there for when she opened it, and he was shown to be holding Kageyama's broken shades... they're actually in his trunk right now...)
15. A kidnapping! What are they planning to do with Haruna?!
The bracelets wouldn't come off, which brought alarm to everyone, especially Kidou. They looked the bracelets up and they were revealed to be part of a legend on the island. They were part of two rituals, the lighter one was part of a ritual of the gods whereas the darker was a ritual of demons. The gods and the demons played something like soccer together, to decide the fate of the world. The demons wanted to win, because they would resurrect The Demon Lord, and cause havoc across the lands whereas if the Angels won, the Demon Lord would be sealed away for another 1000 years. They didn't know what the bracelets had to do with it just yet, but they would find out soon.
It was practice time and a few members from other teams came by to play with them. They had England's captain Edgar, Argentina's captain Teres, American's captain and ace striker Mark and Dylan, and Fideo join in. Then the kids were split into two teams, with the addition of Touko and it was once again Kidou's team vs Endou's. While they were playing, the weather got significantly worse and soon lightening struck down dangerously close to the field, sending the players to the ground. What was the cause of that lightening? It was an odd looking soccer player with angel like wings. He made his way over to Rika, the one with the white bracelet, and picked her up in his arms. He was going to take her somewhere! But before Kidou could worry about that, he heard a terrified scream from across the field coming from Haruna, his precious sister. Standing in front of her was a boy with some kind of Devil wings, and he was about to take her too. Kidou ran over, to help but the demon kicked a soccer ball at him, hard, and rendered him unable to move. Just like that, the two girls were gone.
With some research and an impatient Kidou, they find out that the girls had been taken to a volcano on Liocott and immediately set off. Kidou Team went down to face the demon's team while Endou's went to the angel's. They walked down the steps and soon found Haruna, dressed in a kind of skimpy outfit and chained to the ground. Kidou started running to get her but was stopped by the same demon he saw earlier, Deasta. Deasta explained that Haruna was to be used as a sacrifice to the Demon Lord, her soul was going to be eaten. Upon learning that, Kidou states that he was going to take Haruna by force, with the intentions of beating the demons up for his sister but he was stopped by one of the old men who gave Rika and Touko their bracelets. He stated that they had to win a game of soccer to get Haruna back. So that's just what they set off to do.
However, with his sister's life on the line, Kidou was panicking. He was panicking and he couldn't function very well under that panic, and by the time the first half ended, their team was loosing. Badly.
And that's where his canon memories end.
ANIMUS
1. Waking up in an unfamiliar place, what happened?
Kidou woke up the first time in Animus alarmed. He was in the middle of a life or death match, and his sister's life was on the line. Upon reading the note that his world had been destroyed though, he thought that he lost. He lost, and he was brought to this place by himself as a punishment for letting everyone die... that is until little Wind Waker Link found him. They had a chat and he learned about how the notes were lies and how his friends could show up, so things started getting a bit better.
2. Maze! Just where is the exit?!
As his punishment for dying, he was strapped to the inside of a soccer ball and then told that everything he has done was thanks to someone else, not himself. He had no identity, it was all something made for him... which was kind of terrible because he's kind of confused about himself and already pretty insecure about his own identity............

2. Also you start feeling very self conscious. You're not perfect, you're not amazing or great or better then anyone else! You're just Kidou Yuuto, and even then. Sometimes you don't even feel like you fit the bill for the son of the man who runs one of the most successful businesses in Japan... sometimes you feel ilke you're just Yuuto.
3. Around Sakuma, thanks to the Shadow thread, you feel... terrible. Absolutely horrible, like you shouldn't be talking to him or anything. He hates you, and he's only been able to tell you recently.... ugh, you're a terrible friend.
4. The environment really effects Kidou's mood. Usually he's pretty chipper and ok when the situation is fine, but once things start looking bleak, he thinks about the worse scenarios and only makes himself more and more depressed.
5. He's prone to stressing out a lot and worrying about the ones around him more then he should... also when he starts to panic, it's a bit hard for him to stop...
6. You feel very leaderly, like you need to be in charge. You'll find yourself naturally telling people what to do and naturally taking charge...
