9. Fudou Akio, friend or enemy?
Using a tactic based purely off of pressure, Fire Dragon start picking people off Raimon's team one by one. First was Fubuki and Tsunami, two of Raimon's defenders. Using their strongest tactic, they were able to get Tsunami and Fubuki to collide and injure themselves, and since it was with each other, it didn't count as a foul. The technique, you see, had 3 or more players surround one player, running in a perfect circle around them and cutting them off the team. If someone else was close, then 4 or more players do the same to the player on the outside, creating a large barrier around the smaller one. Slowly, they get closer and close to the two players, causing more and more pressure which make it hard for the players to think and the ball is soon easily snatched from them. Though, there was one flaw, and Kidou picked up on it. It was on the ground, so the way to get around it was to pass the ball upward towards another player on the outside and then pass it to other players using the air. He created a tactic called "Route of Sky" to get pass Fire Dragon's technique.
Now that he had found a way to beat those tactics, Kidou was confident and ready to help his team win further, and that had Chae Chan-Soo a bit worried. Soon enough, one of Fire Dragon's members accidentally cause Hijikata, one of Raimon's more bulky and muscular defenders, to trip and he ends up falling on top of Kidou who, let's face it, is kind of a twig. Thanks to that little accident, Kidou is put on bench because of a swollen knee and Fudou is put in. This is where the game really begins.
Fudou Akio plays without telling others his reasoning. For the first little while, he simply took the ball and tried getting past the enemies and shooting all by himself, which only pissed the players off. He even used the other player's bodies to pass the ball to himself, by kicking it at them and having it bounce back to him. Everyone was disgusted with that kind of playing, and no one trusted him. When he was finally passing the ball, the players didn't have the motivation to catch up to the fast passes so the ball would just go out of lines. The team was in shambles thanks to this, they thought for sure they were going to lose. That is, until Endou stepped up. He told the team to trust Fudou, to accept his passes and accept him as a teammate. However, even though they wanted to, they just couldn't keep up. But, Kidou stepped up and went on the field. Once the ball was passed to him, he ran at full speed to catch up to it and passed it back, stating that Fudou could pass it back faster and harder. This whole time everyone thought Fudou was trying to make them lose, when really, he was trying to figure out how to make the best passes that would pull out everyone's full potential. By the time the match had ended, Inazuma Japan won and Fudou was finally accepted as a teammate. (GrosS)
